New-gTLD delegation calendar

Every new gTLD delegation on record — 1,068 of them, from 6 Nov 2013 to 4 Apr 2022. Removals and nameserver changes are detected by diffing the root zone daily; a nameserver change usually means the registry moved to a different technical backend.

ICANN's 2026 application round closed on 12 August 2026, with more than 1,600 primary applications — over 1,100 of which included replacement strings. The applied-for strings themselves are not public until ICANN's Reveal Day, expected by mid-October; the date is due to be announced in mid-September 2026. New strings will appear here as they are delegated, which for the 2012 round began about 15 months after its reveal.
